Forming part of the Production Team, the primary objective of this role is to assist in producing the company's products and to transfer them to the Cold Store or the Freezer.
Key duties:
- Ensuring a clean and safe environment
- Operating secondary equipment and machinery responsibly
- Cleaning of secondary equipment and machinery used
- Taking responsibility for the proper and hygienic handling of all products
- Minimising all losses by diligently following all set procedures
- Proposing suggestions to improve the departments performance and cost efficiency
- Conducting any other duties as requested by superior
Abilities:
- Be a team player
- Have literacy and numeracy skills
- Ability to communicate well in English
- Willing to work overtime, flexible hours or on shift basis depending on operation requirements
- Possess or willing to obtain Food Handlers Certificate License B
Technical Skills:
- Secondary school level of education, O level passes would be an asset.
- Familiar with computers including Microsoft Office tools
Experience:
Previous experience in the food industry or in the catering sector or in any other manufacturing sector would be an asset.
